Cui Yinglu nodded with agreement and then said in bewilderment: “I have known that when surveying the true way I shouldn’t listen to the CCP satanic regime’s rumors and lies. However, most religious pastors and elders are also condemning Eastern Lightning, why? I think, they all have a strong knowledge of the Bible and they serve the Lord so what they say should be considered. And my investigation of the true way should be inspected by them.”
Jin Minzhe said: “You’re not alone. Many believers think pastors and elders are familiar with the Bible, so in everything they listen to pastors and elders and even when it comes to studying the true way, they let pastors and elders check and decide it. If pastors and elders don’t agree, saying that the Lord hasn’t returned and that they can’t accept it, then they won’t investigate anymore. Isn’t it stupid?”
Li Guangshuo said: “Right. Let’s think. Do pastors and elders have the truth? Are they able to hear the voice of God? Do they know the Lord’s appearance and work? Even they themselves don’t know how to tell the voice of God and welcome the Lord’s return. What qualifications do they have to stand guard and decide on others’ behalf? It’s just like the religious leaders of Judaism in the Age of Law, who knew the Bible very well and frequently expounded the Bible to people. When the Lord Jesus appeared and worked, did they hear the voice of God from the Lord Jesus’ sermons and work? Did they recognize that the Lord Jesus is the Christ? Did they lead the believers to welcome the Lord Jesus? Not only did they refuse to accept but also prevented others from accepting. It’s just like the words of the Lord Jesus’ rebuke to the Pharisees: “But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for you neither go in yourselves, neither suffer you them that are entering to go in”(Mat 23:13). They even colluded with the Roman government to nail the Lord Jesus to the cross. From this we can see that reading the Bible by heart and frequently explaining the Bible don’t mean that they understand the truth and moreover don’t mean they know God and obey God. So there’s no guarantee they can recognize the Lord when He returns. We shouldn’t blindly listen to pastors and elders when we investigate the true way. Otherwise we’ll easily go down the wrong path and follow them to do evil deeds and resist God!”
These words touched Cui Yinglu a little. He thought: Yeah, we often hear pastors and elders interpreting the Bible. However, they don’t have much knowledge of God and what they say is old platitudes, having no new enlightenment or light. During these years, we don’t get the supply of life from them. It turns out that they don’t have any knowledge of God. They won’t necessarily recognize God’s voice. So …
Seeing Cui Yinglu thinking in silence, Li Guangshuo said: “Hey, Brother Cui, can you understand what I’ve just said? If you can’t, we’ll commune with you a little more.”
Cui Yinglu jerked out of his trance, saying quickly: “I can understand what you’ve said. Although pastors and elders know the Bible well and have biblical knowledge, it doesn’t mean they know the Lord, nor can we be sure that they’re able to hear the Lord’s voice when He returns. So when looking into the true way, we really shouldn’t listen to them and let them decide!”
Jin Minzhe said: “Yes, with the matter of surveying the true way, we shouldn’t blindly listen to pastors and elders. Looking back, at that time, the believers of Judaism waited desperately for the arrival of Messiah, but when the Lord Jesus appeared and worked they didn’t seek the truth but instead only believed the religious leaders’ fallacies and followed them to condemn and reject the Lord Jesus. Finally, they lost the Lord’s salvation.”
Li Guangshuo continued: “Yes. At that time the believers of Judaism didn’t listen to the Lord Jesus’ words but instead listened to the chief priests, scribes and Pharisees. Finally they followed the Pharisees to defy God and were destroyed. We see that it is exactly the stupidity of the believers of Judaism. They didn’t listen to the Lord’s words but instead listened to man’s words. Finally they brought themselves the ending of destruction. It exactly fulfilled God’s words: ‘My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge’ (Hos 4:6).
Cui Yinglu said seriously: “Right. The final outcome of the believers of Judaism is a painful lesson for our investigation of the true way today. This is a past example for warning. I can’t follow in their tracks. Thank God! After hearing your fellowship, I come to know, when looking into the true way, we should neither listen to the CCP government’s rumors and negative propaganda nor listen to religious leaders’ words. Only by this can we avoid going down the wrong path.”
Jin Minzhe said: “Right. But there’s another thing which is the most important.”
Cui Yinglu looked at Jin Minzhe with confusion: “Another thing?”
Li Guangshuo and Jin Minzhe looked at each other with a smile and said at the same time: “That is to listen to God’s voice.”
Cui Yinglu suddenly realized: “Oh! Yeah, yeah, this is the most crucial.”
Li Guangshuo said: “I remember in the Bible there’s the Lord Jesus’ word: ‘My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me’ (Jhn 10:27). And Almighty God also says: ‘Since we are searching for the footprints of God, we must search for God’s will, for the words of God, for the utterances of God — for where there are the new words of God, there is the voice of God, and where there are the footsteps of God, there are the deeds of God. Where there is the expression of God, there is the appearance of God, and where there is the appearance of God, there exists the truth, the way, and the life. While seeking the footprints of God, you ignored the words that “God is the truth, the way, and the life.” So when many people receive the truth, they do not believe that they have found the footprints of God and much less acknowledge the appearance of God. What a serious error that is!’ Therefore, we should only listen to God’s words when investigating the true way. Only this conforms to God’s will. That is, we should seek out whether this way has the truth, the work of the Holy Spirit and God’s utterance. Only this is the most important principle. Because God is the truth, the way and the life and God’s words are unalterable truths. Nowadays when we investigate whether the words and work of Almighty God are the Lord Jesus’ return and God’s appearance and work, the most crucial and fundamental thing is to find out whether what Almighty God expresses is the truth and whether what He does is the work of salvation of the last days. During a period of time of investigation, if we can confirm that Almighty God’s words are the truth and the Eastern Lightning is God’s work, then this is the true way. So, surveying the true way requires our own prayers to God, the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit, and our special attention to hearing God’s voices. This is the most wisdom.”
Cui Yinglu said excitedly: “Yeah, thanks be to God! Such fellowship is great! Now I have the path. When investigating the true way we should pay attention to hearing God’s words and see whether this way has the work of the Holy Spirit and the expression of the truth. This is a right principle and conforms to the Lord’s words: ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life’ (Jhn 14:6).”
Then all of them smiled with delight.
Darkness came and the two brothers left. Then Cui Yinglu began to read Almighty God’s words on the Internet with a great hunger and thirst as well as watch the movies, choruses and other videos made by the Church of Almighty God. After a period of time, through the brothers and sisters’ watering and supply, Cui Yinglu finally welcomed the Lord’s return, being immersed in the joy of reunion with the Lord.
