Thoughts on Today’s Verse…
In our lives, whatever difficulties we may face, do not complain, sorrow or run away but be patient and rejoice, and believe that all are permitted by God and contain God’s good will. Continuing instant in prayer — God hopes we can connect with Him any time through prayer rather than only in times of difficulty. Just as God’s words say: “After God created mankind and gave them spirits, He enjoined them that if they didn’t call out to God, then they would not be able to connect with His Spirit and thus the ‘satellite television’ from heaven would not be received on earth. When God is no longer in people’s spirits there is an empty seat left open for other things, and that’s how Satan seizes the opportunity to get in. When people contact God with their hearts, Satan immediately goes into a panic and rushes to escape. Through mankind’s cries God gives them what they need, but He does not ‘reside’ within them at first. He just constantly gives them aid because of their cries and people gain hardiness from that internal strength so that Satan dare not come here to ‘play’ at its will. This way, if people constantly connect with God’s Spirit, Satan dare not come to disrupt. Without Satan’s disruption, all of people’s lives are normal and God has the opportunity to work within them without any obstructions. This way, what God wants to do can be achieved through humans.”
Through prayer we connect with God’s Spirit, and God gives us what we need through our prayers. I remember one time when I worked with a sister. She made a decision and acted base on it without consulting me. I knew this thing until it went wrong and I had to clean up the mess. I was very angry at that time, and wanted to question her: “Why don’t you tell me at first? You tell me until it went wrong. I’m not going to look after it. You’re on your own!” But I knew I’m a Christian, I should have normal humanity and couldn’t be like the unbelievers. So I knelt down before God and prayed: “O God! I don’t want to lose my temper, but I can’t control myself. May You guide me and quiet my heart.” It was wonderful that I was very angry before, but after the prayer, my anger vanished and I calmed down. Though she didn’t admit that it was her fault, it was not right for me to lose my temper. God doesn’t care who is right, He only looks at whether we can practice the truth and act according to His words. At this time, I truly experienced that with God, all things are possible that humans cannot achieve. As long as we pray to God and rely on God, God will guide us. Amen!
